Following the win against Gosford last weekend the Roosters have finished 3rd and will take on 4th placed Newcastle City in the semi finals.
It will be a long wait for the Roosters with the game scheduled on Sunday, 20th August at Killarney Vale’s Adelaide Street Oval. The game is the last game of the weekend and will follow the Wyong and Maitland game, where the winning team will progress to the grand final on September 2.
The usually Sunday game is due to the leagues high demand of finals games being played across the weekend and the availability of the BDAFL approved ovals for finals.
The Roosters are pleased with their results this season and are peaking at the right time. Like most teams, the Roosters have had their fair share of injuries to contend with throughout the season and the team has strengthened with those players returning into the squad.
A gutsy win against Maitland a fortnight ago proved the Roosters are strong contenders and are on track to defend their premiership.
The Roosters must first knock off Newcastle City who have drawn the series 1-1, having beat the Roosters at the “Chook Pen” in round 12. The Roosters respect Newcastle who are the strongest club in the competition and know they can’t lapse against them on Sunday.
All the Rooster fans come enjoy Sunday football and cheer on the red and white.
