We knuckle down for the business end of the season with semi finals kicking off this weekend. It’s fantastic to have 2 senior teams competing in this years BDAFL finals. Both games are to be played on Saturday at Weeramans Field, Muswellbrook.
Cup are ready for their 4th vs 5th clash against Warners Bay. The week off from round 18 bye has allowed the team to freshen up for this hit out. An early focus will be getting matchups right. We haven’t seeing our opposition since the season opener back in April. A defensive watch will be on the Bulldogs midfielders who create most of the their drive. To edge out an unforgiving Warners Bay, we have emphasised on high percentage shots to make the most of our inside 50m opportunities. A solid, well organised team has been selected and the Roosters want nothing less than a dominant victory to continue into next week preliminary finals.
Womens meet Killarney Vale in their first ever final. The team have really strung things together in past weeks with the desire to go all the way. The women carry a 4 game win streak into this match, highlighted by their gutsy come from behind victory over the minor premiers. High pressured defense will again be the key at forcing Killarney Vale to miss targets and allow the Roosterettes to run our own game.
