Nads wins AFL Hunter Central Coast Clubperson of the Year award

Nadene McBride (Singleton Roosters’ senior president) was recognised with this year’s James J Arnold Clubperson of the Year award while Kyah McBride finished top ten in the AFL Black Diamond Plate women’s league best and fairest for a second straight season.

Singleton Roosters’ senior president Nadene McBride was declared as the joint winner of the coveted James J Arnold Clubperson of the Year award.

The reigning women’s premiership coach shared the honour with Killarney Vale’s Corey Shackleton.

Muswellbrook Cat Elise Garlick also made history as the joint winner of the Diamond Plate Women’s league best and fairest award.

Garlick polled 15 votes to share the award with Kate Booth (Wallsend West Newcastle).

Nikki Robson (Singleton) finished fourth in the count with eight votes while her captain Tori Cowburn, who finished runner up last year with 21 votes, also polled seven votes to finish equal fifth with Iesha Veness (Wallsend West Newcastle).

Singleton’s leading-goalkicker Kyah McBride also made the top ten for a second straight season.

She polled six votes to finish equal ninth alongside Lara Simpson (Newcastle City) and Lenore Kennedy (Terrigal Avoca).
