Roosterettes inspire gallant Hunter Country side

A talented group of six Singleton Roosterettes represented the Hunter Country side at this afternoon’s AFL Hunter Central Coast Women’s representative tournament.

Ball winner Kyah McBride was selected as co-captain alongside Cardiff defender Jessica Bannerman.

The inspirational skipper was joined by fellow Roosterettes Sophie Breeze, Neisha Macpherson, Nikki Robson, Kustiani Tuckerman and Brittany Eveleigh.

The line-up was coached by Singleton’s Nadene McBride with assistance from Alex Tigani (forward line), Cardiff’s Liam Gibson (back line) and Daltyn McCartney (runner).

“We were syncing more and more as the games went on,” McBride explained.

“Today was a massive win for the Hunter as we were competitive.

“Each member of the team helped keep Women’s Footy alive & kicking in our region.”
